Karen Pollari is an educator in Sidney, Montana. She has been teaching for 20 years in the K-8 setting and most recently moved to the High School to teach English. Karen served on the 2015 Montana Science Standards Writing committee for Montana in addition to the PAO (Process - Assessment-Outcome) committee. She has also worked with Cambium Assessments to review and write science assessment questions for the state of Montana. In 2022, Karen returned to the United States Department of Education (Ed Count) Assessment Panel to work on Designing Three-Dimensional Classroom Science Assessments. She most recently received the 2022 Teresa Veltkamp Advocacy Award for Excellence in Indian Education. This is the second year presenting for the Montana STEM Summer Institute.
